Attorney Referrals

Due to our track record of success in complex and difficult litigation, a significant portion of our cases are referred to us by other lawyers who value our expertise in litigating catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Because we are located in downtown Washington, DC, we are frequently asked to represent tourists, business travelers, and other visitors to D.C. who have sustained injuries at hotels, restaurants, office buildings, stadiums, event venues, and sightseeing destinations, or while they are in transit at the airport or on local Metro trains and buses.

In our work with referring co-counsel, we have obtained significant jury verdicts and settlements for victims of motor vehicle crashes, traumatic brain injuries, inadequate residential or commercial security, construction site failures, dangerous premises, and unsafe walking surfaces. We attribute our triumphs in the courtroom and at the bargaining table to thorough preparation, as well as a willingness to invest the resources that serious cases require.

If you have a case that you would like us to consider, please give us a call anytime. We have successfully completed joint representations on cases in the D.C. metro area on numerous occasions with referring counsel from all over the country in accordance with a fee sharing arrangement as permitted Rule 1.5(e) of the D.C. Bar’s legal ethics rules. Such arrangements have ranged from our firm acting solely as local counsel for referring counsel who wants to retain “first chair” control over the case, to an outright referral to us for all litigation and trial responsibility for the case. Given that both of the partners at our firm are Past Presidents of the D.C. Trial Lawyers Association with extensive litigation and trial experience, we are frequently invited to act as lead counsel by out-of-state referring counsel, where we take primary responsibility for investing the personnel, time, and money necessary to successfully prosecute serious cases. We invite you to call us to discuss the referral of your case.
